Roxie Graystone

 

Roxie was born in Sault Ste. Marie and grew up on the shores of Lake Superior. He began working in the environmental industry over 15 years ago with an international technical consulting firm. Roxie cut his teeth helping to design and build environmental projects for large industry, including steel plants and aluminum smelters. 

His education started with a degree from the University of Guelph in Environmental Engineering and continued with a law degree from Queen's University.

Early in his career, Roxie worked in a number of different areas of environmental law including international policy, regulatory compliance, and regulatory prosecutions. 

In 2005, Roxie began developing environmental regulatory policy for major industrial sectors in Canada. 

In 2008, Roxie began Graystone Environmental and has been able to build a practice based on hard work, honesty, and a solid understanding of environmental issues in Ontario. 

Recent Projects

  • Negotiated and drafted an agreement to purchase and install a 60kW solar PV project north of Toronto
  • Negotiated a settlement for damages from soil and water contamination from a provnicial landfill
  • Successfully challenged a municipal bylaw related to water quality impacts
  • Special counsel related to the contamination of a commercial property
  • Advised and negotiated settlement for damages and repairs related to riparian rights of a private landowner
